Vietnam War Wall Honorees

I received this information in my e-mail and wanted to share with the community.    I’m posting here for those who are not on FB

Photos Sought for Vietnam War Wall Honorees

If you have a family member who served during Vietnam and whose name is etched upon the Vietnam War Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C., the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs is working with the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund on its Wall of Faces program.

The groups are currently searching for photos to match every single name on the Vietnam War Memorial Wall for a virtual exhibit. Currently, Pennsylvania still needs nearly 400 pictures of Pennsylvanians who served and died in Vietnam.

An update to all membership regarding RES and the wetlands

We are still waiting for Mike Comstock to give us a date for his presentation on work done on other wetlands and information needed to move forth for a “vote by membership” pertaining to RES and our property. He has been on vacation and his engineer has also been on vacation. They will be getting a date ready for us to meet and hear what their intents will be.

I also was away for a week giving us a big overlap of about 2 months. Hopefully this issue can be addressed and presented so everyone has all the necessary information to make a decision. As soon as I am informed of a meeting date it will be posted in the bulletin boards and since this is of great concern, we will most likely do a mail drop to all members and residents so no one is missed. To date no one has been informed of any updates.

At this time, I would also like to thank everyone for taking pride in their property and cleaning up. We still have a few that need work and we are working on getting them done. The Village is looking 90% better. I appreciate everyone going out in the heat or getting help in getting the work done. I am currently getting ready to work on the cul-de-sacs to make them look much nicer. We have great ideas and hopefully people will enjoy using them.

There is not going to be a big cost as most of the plants and benches have been donated. The work is being done by the Building and Grounds Committee. The rotten shed has been removed at no cost and the men have added horse-shoe and quoits pits for everyone to use. The clubhouse has been cleaned up and screening placed over the back to deter rain from coming in. This work is done by our volunteers and is greatly appreciated. Thank You to our men and ladies for all your work.
